We'll be having a small, intimate wedding in October at the Drake Devonshire, and we can't wait to celebrate with our favourite people. It means so much to have your love and support in our lives, and we feel incredibly grateful to share this special moment with our closest family and friends.

WHERE TO STAY

As Wellington is a small town, we recognize that it may be helpful to plan ahead so we wanted to share a few options for your stay.

You’re very welcome to stay with us at The Drake Devonshire or The Drake Motor Inn, and we’re happy to share details on a preferred rate in case you’d like us to add you to our room block. Please indicate on your RSVP if you’d like us to send you this information.

The Drake does require a 2-night minimum stay, so there are also other great options nearby. Some include The Lakeside Motel, The Newsroom Suites, as well as many local Airbnbs within a 5 minute walk.

  • Please let us know if you'll be able to celebrate with us by September 12, 2026.

  • Our dress code is cocktail attire. October in Prince Edward County can be a little unpredictable, so we'd recommend bringing a jacket incase needed for comfort.

  • Our ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outdoors (weather permitting), with the reception indoors. October in Prince Edward County can be beautiful, but a little unpredictable. We recommend dressing according to the temperature, which might include bringing a light jacket for the time outside.

  • Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30PM. We suggest arriving by 4:00PM to find your way and settle in before the ceremony.

  • Parking onsite is reserved for overnight hotel guests. For guests not staying overnight at the Drake Devonshire or the Drake Motor Inn, there is parking just up the street by Midtown Brewing Company.

  • We kindly ask that you keep your phones tucked away during the ceremony so everyone can be fully present with us. Our photographer will capture all the ceremony moments to look back on.

  • We’re hosting a bar tab for the celebration and hope it lasts the entire night! If the hosted limit happens to be reached toward the end of the evening, the bar will transition to a cash and card service for the remainder of the evening.

  • Our reception will be ending at 11:30pm. Prince Edward County has limited transportation options. There's no Uber, and local taxi services usually need to be called in advance. We recommend staying nearby or arranging your transportation ahead of time so you can relax and enjoy the evening.
